Remove all unneccesasry technology.

I got on allright without a mobile.
Work would be a piece of piss without trawling through pointless emails.
My walkman was ok.
I never got lost without a sat nav.
I met my mates at the pub, i didnt poke them via facebook.

The internet is a sticking point, but i could survive without the rest quite easily. Its all just stuff, it takes masses amounts of your time (think downloading, sorting folders, making apps work) and its 95% bollocks.

I would happily agree - but the world has discovered the internet, facebollox and twatter etc, I would have a f***ing great life if I could book a day out and not deal with anything else while I was out of the office! As it is I am taking a tablet pc with me on holiday as a partway gesture as I havent taken 2 full weeks off work in 8 years and tbh I really dont know how to do it!

btw the tablet is the android thing I mentioned in another thread and only really to answer messages and log on here!

If you take anything work related on your Holiday you are nothing short of an asshole.

Dont be so stupid as to think you are that indispensable, because no one is. Leave it at home and spend time with your family. Enjoy yourself and forget work, or leave your job.

The only thing work related I take on hol is the wife. Nepotism alive and well in council

Although I do occasionally text my mates at work.

I'm under no illusions about my dispensability at work, I'm also looking to send nice piccys to the office to make people jealous and post inane shite on here - if I don't have a net connection I'll have to spend even more time with the family and I've got 2 whole weeks of queuing at theme parks and all that touristy kind of stuff to get through!

I have only used the internet once abroad, that was to check the availability of some inhalers for my daughter.

I am only interested in beer, sun and topless sunbathers when I am on hols.
